		<description>Hi Eliot. CAP was not created in GEO. It looks like it was created by a group called OASIS, which appears to be similar to OGC. CAP was being pushed within GEO by NOAA. EPA then asked if AIRNow could support it.

So, it&#039;s not a GEO initiative per se....but CAP is referenced in the GEOSS Standards Registry:
