C-MORE Researchers in Hawaii Probe Marine Microbes, Train a New Cadre of Scientists

Researchers at the Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education (C-MORE) are exploring how microbes influence the structure and function of the global ocean. C-MORE was established in 2006 as a National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center. Based at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UH Manoa), C-MORE also includes five other institutions on the U.S. mainland that are leaders in the field of microbial oceanography.
